The fact: The project is completely in keeping with the development of a Net Zero carbon economy.

It is consistent with the ambitions set out by the Climate Change Committee (CCC) to meet Net Zero. The CCC is clear that this requires a dramatic reduction in landfilling through the 2020s. It also requires a fourfold increase in low-carbon energy generation, like that generated by our Energy Recovery Facility.
